I am an earth-loving vegan who bides her time baking, reading, gardening, and practicing yoga. In 2008, I became discouraged with the ingredients in store-bought bread, and so, I began to bake our weekly bread. What started simply enough with whole wheat bread evolved into a lifestyle of fewer processed foods and more organic choices. Going vegan in 2015 (after eighteen years of vegetarianism) led to lots of recipe conversions and even more kitchen adventures!
I have also been working with elementary school children for almost a decade. If anything helps keep you silly while constantly expanding your patience and creativity, it’s hanging out with 25 to 40 kids for four hours a day!
