I am an earth-loving vegan who bides her time baking, reading, gardening, and practicing yoga. In 2008, after becoming discouraged with the ingredients in store-bought bread, I began to bake our weekly bread. It started simply enough with whole wheat bread, but over time, I braved more involved recipes such as bagels and baguettes. Going vegan 2 years ago (after 18 years of vegetarianism) led to lots of recipe conversions and even more kitchen adventures!

I have also been working with elementary school children for almost a decade. If anything ¬†helps keep you silly while constantly testing your patience and creativity, it’s hanging out with 25 to 40 kids for four hours a day!
